the agitator will spin in one direction - when the direction changes there is a jumping/juddering/ hesitancy like a clutch slipping and the spin is not strong or complete or like the motor is not getting a smooth constant electrical power supply

you got a gearbox/clutch problem,it need to be cleaned and set properly.if you not sure what to do you can mess it up completely.suggest you open cabinet and just inspect area around clutch/brake assy.if their is dirt clean it,if there is oil,leave for technician
