where does the spring go on the handbrake(next to brake disc) as my hand brake keeps on ceasing up

There is a small hole on the end of the lever, one end of the spring goes in there, the other end goes into a small hole on th metal plate which covers the disc.

Easier to fit if you leave the handbrake off but remember to block the wheels so the car doesnt roll!

if the lever attached to your cable is not returning to its stop then you may have a seized h/brake cable,adjusted up too much or your caliper may be at fault,first I would remove pads and make sure they are not seized in the caliper bridge
