i have a megane w reg 2000, rt sports alize speedo and mileometer not work?

ok dne the panel self test speedo head working as it goes up and dowm picks up from passenger side abs unit i've been told but also told connectors at side of battery drivers side of the car at blukhead may be the fault any one shed any light on this is it the whoite multi connector next tp the 60 amp fuses
