I have just discovered that the boiler requires a mercury vapour valve part number 404451 - if anybody knows where I can get one it would be appreciated

the pilot light will light its self when there is a demand from the system for the boiler to operate. does the fan run when the hot water and the heating are selcted on the clock? once the fan is running then the pilot should light.
