how can i fix my msn messenger?

hey every1, my msn isnt working right and i've tried everything to get it to work. i've uninstalled it and installed a newer version but it just wont work. everythime i try to sign in it says that my password or username is incorrect even tho i no that it isnt because i can sign into my hotmail account.can someone please help me fix this problem.
