engine loping( chugging)?

I have a lawnmower( craftsman) with a briggs & stratton 3.75 sprint engine. It starts good, but lopes (chuggs) . The idle goes up and down, it does not die, but wont run at a constant idle. I ve tried using carb cleaner and running sta-bel thru it, no change. Tank is clean and pickup tube seems clear. Thanks

Almost guarantee that it needs a new carb diaphragm. Easy and cheap.
