Mend Craftsman 580.768030 Pressure Inlet Water

No pressure?

I have a Craftsman 580.768030 pressure washer. When I crank the washer all the pressure I get is what is supplied by the inlet water hose. The pump never increases the water pressure out of the wand, usually the pump will pull the motor down a bit but no differance in the motor sound. Hate to spend the $114.00 for the O-ring and seal kit for the pump if it could be something else, any ideas? Thanks Tony

Could be a busted spring in the pressure control assy (easy to check) - also, dis-assemble and check for grit/dirt - a single grain of sand will give you zero pressure. After that, it's back to the $114 ......
