How can I fix my Samsung TV Model Code: LE46F86BDX/XEU?

When I switch on the TV, the picture and sound comes for a split second and then both disappear.

A repair shop informed that its panel is gone and it is not cost effective to repair. It is such a shame to through it away like this. It has hardly been used for more than 30 hours at the most. I just kept it with me since 2008. Please advise, thanks.

Hi I had the same model television that had the same fault a couple of years ago. It was just over 2 years old at the time. I was told it was the panel and that it would cost around £1000 for a new panel. Lucky if was covered by insurance.
