my 4 year old bosch is smoking and making a god awful noise on spin. i stopped the programme, drum was full of smoke, and the drum sounds like the bearings have gone, making a terrible noise when you turn it by hand, is the motor finished? should i repair or buy new?
examine the rubber gasket for signs of burn along the inner edge, if this has happened the drum shaft has broken, if you find it so i would put a wager on it that you are a high user of liquid detergent
