how to fix a changing down gear scrapping noise?

fiat grande punto 1.2 petrol 2007.when i change down from 5th to 4th gear at approx 45/50 mph 1 get a scrapping noise when the car goes into 4th .the car does not jump out of gear .this does not happen if i am travelling at a slower speed and change down from 5th to 4th.
