Scantronic 9651 - Tamper Lid Reset required?

Hi I'm trying to fix my alarm after taking lid of control panel off (stupid mistake to make) and after goggling I have entered my user code twice but is saying OMIT ZONE? So don't know what to press next......anyone be able to help me?

The code gts gave you is that panels factory default engineering code,it was worth giving it a try but yours has been changed by the installer or engineer who last had contact with it.

The only option now is to return the panel back to factory settings and reprogram back up,

We don't give out defaulting info on here for obvious reasons,

Let your engineer get the book and he will sort it for you :)

Ive also just had an engineer out who couldnt fix it so is away to get manual and come back. Any other suggestions? when i key in 07890 it just says invalid code

Hi I've tried keying in the code like you said but its still saying lip tamper....reset required.....any other suggestions???

Usual scenario gts she's petrified like most folk that the bells will wail and she can't stop it,

We've all had the phone calls matey,

Guys seem to be macho and say " can you hear it it's doing my head in",

The lady's,well that's a different story.... Sheer panic :D

Crazy how Joe public has faith in there equipment but are petrified of it.

Gts is trying to save you money here Rachel, he wouldn't give you this info if he could foresee any issues with bells etc,

Any keypad

And no bells

Follow his advice chuck he knows what he's talking about.

to let you understand rachel,its prof engineers on this site,not handy men we give our time and advice for free,to save people money,if you do not wish to take the advice offered,call an engineer out,as i said in last post,

Hi if I type in 07890 etc will the alarm go off at any stage. I had previously knocked one of sensors in living room when putting in a new curtain pole and someone had said to try disconnecting battery and reconnecting it to reset system.....some stupid advice that was....that's why I had the lid off. So now it just says lid tamper reset required...

or,who ever fitted it could not be bothered to alter the status quo!or,as you said,he not know about it,it has to be one of the easy panels to prog alarm guy,to us any way :-)

LOL at A1

The 9651`s been fitted by either as a DIY or with engineer reset for tampers.
As the command is buried so deep most miss it.

You need an engineer.

try key in 07890,then press enter,(the tick )if it says installer mode,then press 99 enter,it will say leaving engineering,?press enter,it will say checking system,then it should reset back
to customer mode,if it does not,then its engineer reset,you will have to get some one in,hope this helps
