Mend Renault O2 Second Gear

Renault traffic van loss of power in second gear?

Hi there, my dad just bought an O2 Renault traffic and found it has started to lose power in second gear. does anyone have any ideas please, rather than going down the route of garages that don't really have the answer, apart from knowing how to give you a bill!! ( like most of you appear to be experiencing). Thankyou very much.

It is strange it only develops your fault in 2nd gear and other than plugging it into a code reader would make sure your filters are renewed and up to date and also check intercooler hoses for splits/leaks and maybe remove intake to turbo and feel for play/wear in the impeller
