how to fix the oven door of a cannon chester?

Hi the main oven door has come away at the top fixing it is just two screws but they will not go back they will not tighten. The plate that they attache to the door also fits onto a pin on the main body of the oven the door piviots on this and an identical one at the bottom. the door opens from the side.
