Clio immobiliser?

I have a Clio 52 plate 1.2. The battery in my main key fob has gone, I could tell as the central locking wouldn't work and from reading a lot of posts this seems to have made the immobiliser kick in. I have a spare key at my parents, will this work even though the immobiliser has kicked in?
