Boiler only noisy when water is put on?

Hi
My condenser boiler bangs a bit when the hot water comes on. It is fine when just heating is on. The house water system. Did. Get drained recently when I shut off the stop cock. Draining the Immerson tank. I don't know if maybe air might be that part of the System??
