Electrolux RM 4401 caravan fridge?

Our fridge works fine on gas but we have a continual fumey smell. We have cleaned the flu, had a gas fitter check the jet, adjusted the flame and checked the regulators. All appear to work ok, but we cannot eliminate this smell. Any clues please.
