how can I fix my Pro Express GV160 tefal steam generator iron. ?

I think you need to ensure that the water container is securely fixed in place as I had a similar problem After ensuring that the water container was secure on each occasion I have had no further trouble

the same has happened to mine GV9461 ( the one with a hood on it - ) I've had it just over 2 years . and paid nearly £200 for it - I don't think its good value for money lasting 2 years , the red light comes on , tank is full and I have to re-press it to start it up again ( heat Up ) . there was a bang & water started dripping from the bottom . I did read in another blog that it was the steam valve gone not sure if can re repaired trying to find blog again
