How can I fix my Maytag Performer Model PYE/G2300 Dryer?
I put in a load of clothes in my Maytag dryer yesterday morning and for some reason it stopped before it reached the end of the drying cycle. When I noticed that it had stopped running, I smelled something burning. My husband checked the breaker but it wasn't tripped and now the dryer won't run at all. Any suggestions?
Our dryer makes a noise like gears are slipping whenever we start it on any cycle or stop it and is getting louder and worst everytime we use it. Once it is turning, it doesn't make a bad noise--it seems ok??? Maytag performa # PYE/3200ayw

the belt might have broken and the fuse probably blew its near the element if its open its bad check your plastic blower wheel the replacement fuse is a small dime sized black thingie attached to the screw that hold the heater element its to the right of the element housing to access the heater pop the top on the dryer using a putty knife
