hotpoint fdl570g.r?

I've been having a problem for some time with my model.The Standby /pause button is very tempermental sometimes the machine will work when the button is pushed but more often than not it won't.
Was told by a mechanic the board has gone.Upon taking the door to pieces I saw two PCB boards which seem to be linked by a set of non removable cables.Despite looking all over the internet I cannot find any replacement boards which look remotely like mine.The only ones I can find are ones which have a smart card facility.Mine does not have this system.I tried the tilt idea bit the water which was in the tank at the bottom didn't go anywhere,niether did the machine work...Any other ideas or suggestions about a new set of pcb boards would be very much appreciated.
