How to fit handgrip and hose to Vax V-045S?

How do I replace handgrip and hose on vax quicklite V-045S. Purchased new handgrip and hose. Really only needed the handle as it snapped but seems it comes as one unit but cannot get the old hose off. Any help or videos showing how to do it?
