How do I reset my machine, it is stuck on pause?

I have a beko WMD78144. The machine would not open at the end of cycle a couple of days ago. In the end I managed to get it to open after switching on and off on machine and wall. I have just tried to put another old in and the machine is just stuck on pause. I have tried holding the start/stop/pause button for 3 secs to cancel-this does not work. If you press this button to try and start it it clicks like it is going to start and sounds like it is filling but the start arrow is still flashing and nothing happens. You can't change the cycle it's on or anything. HELP PLEASE!
