My Bass Ampeg BA115 Amp stopped workng now it make loud hum when turned on!?

Regarding my Bass Ampeg BA115 Combo Amp.
I was playing my Fender Jazz V5 Bass Guitar via my BA115 Amp and suddenly the Amp popped and started humming very loudly, it stopped working immediately. I immediately turned the amp off & unplugged it. I waited a few minutes and plugged in back in turned it on and it started humming very loudly again. I unplugged it and haven't plugged it back in since. I spoke to one amp tech, he said I may have burned a resister. The amp is three years old, I only use it for practice at home. I'm not sure is the outlet was grounded properly or not. But I need help. Can anyone help? Thx in advance for any assistance. Rohn, Bronx NY
