Our leyland DAF 45 has a problem with the brakes?

We have a problem with our brakes, when we have been driving for a while the front brakes stick on, sometimes they release and we carry on, recently they have not released and we have to pull over, the front wheel are very hot and smell, we've had a local lorry specialist look at the problem but they cant find anything wrong. the pressure doesn't appear to drop on the gauge when this happens and we've tried laying under the lorry listening for leaky air pipes but nothing conclusive, we're at a loss as what to do next, we can't afford to have garage look at it again only to find nothing and we have given up taking our horses out for fear of breaking down. Leyland DAF 45 R reg. any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Load sensing valve possibly..can be recognised as it will be bolted to the chassis with a spring attached to the axle

Thanks for help, we've had someone else look at the lorry and he thinks it might be a valve near the back axle, (not sure what its called), he says it appears to be leaking I,e, air bubble appear, plus a couple of leaky joints, were going to replace the valve (about £20 for the part) and fix the leaky joints. I'll keep this updated as it may help others with similar problem, if you can identify the value that may help, all I know is it is near the back axle and might be something to do the handbrake. thanks

you have hydraulic brakes ,air is probably being fed to the air chamber by a faulty valve ..obviously with it being intermittant it is hard to say what valve it may be

is the brake pedal return spring ok.are the brake pads free in calliper and are calliper pistons free and not siezed and sticking?the front brake hoses may be collapsing internally and not allowing fluid back?
