I HAVE 3 storage heaters and they all stopped working last night - any idea?
Storage heaters 3 all stopped working last night - any ideas how I can get them started ? 2 are FGS STORAD WITH ONE DIAL at each end - 1 says "storage" and the other says "Output" - the 3rd heater is a very old Variomatic with slider controls (2) each saying "max" and "minimum" - can anyone suggest what I can do before I have to secure a bank loan for an engineer ??
The clock for off peak is working ok / so I guess it's an Electrician then !! But thanks for your suggestions !!

Have a look by the meter ,is there a mechanical clock is it working? an electrician should be able to narrow it down to either the supply or the fuseboard

I had already thought that it must be a supply problem but just needed some advice on where to start to discover why and how to rectify / but , thanks anyway for taking the time to reply !!

It would be a remarkable coincidence if each storage heater developed a fault at the same time.
Consider that the cause of them not working to possibly be common to them all - like an interruption to the electrical supply
That is my idea...
Good luck...
