My Hoover CA230 washing machine pumps the water out but won't spin!.
if we put it on slow or fast spin, it'll turn clock wise few times and then stops and we can hear the pump pumping and the cycle finishes without spinning.
We checked for any blockage in the pump, the sump, the outlet pipe and all were clear.
Checked motor brushes and they were fine.
I blow down the pipe of the vacuum switch and I can hear it clicking.
Could it be the control board? or the washing machine doesn't think it's on the spin mode? If so why?
Any suggestions would very much appreciated.
on the end of the motor there is a little coil, prise this out of position and check the magnet on the end of the armature has not unscrewed or shattered, if it has come off put a dab of superglue on the threads before refitting.
