Either the inlet valve is faulty or no power is going to the valve to open it which would be caused by a broken or loose wire or a faulty control board/ timer problem.

there is a small filter were the water goes into the washing machine, were you screw the hose into the fitting at the back of the machine, the blue inlet, see if there is dirt blocking the water from getting in, at that point.
