Fisher & Paykel Washing Machine model IW 812 has fault code 130?

Our F & P (IW 812) washing machine fills with water, then generates a fault code of 130, & stops.

Mounted on top of the stator (copper winding) of the motor is an electronic sender called a rotor position sensor (RPS) it sends 3 signals up to the control board to tell it what position the motor is at or if it is turning or not. Fault code 130 means it is not sending the correct signals. It is faulty or corroded. You need to fit a new RPS.
