blowing fuse on cub cadet 1045?

Have a cub cadet cadet 1045 mowing grass and blew a fuse. Replaced fuse engaged blade blew fuse again. This time belt came off. Started lawn mower after belt came off.engaged pto and didn't blow fuse. Could it be because belt twisted?
