peugeot 207 1st gear fault?

2012 207 pug. 1.6 diesel. cannot get 1st gear unless engine is not running or is forced. car runs fine in all other gears and there are no odd noises. any help appreciated.

Sounds like a clutch clearance problem,not sure on yours but some Peugeots have an external clutch slave cyl. mounted on front of the gearbox and if it is leaking then could be a source of your problem,if not then it could mean a g/box out job for a look at whats going on. Good luck.
