Ashley power recliner sofa?

My ashley power recliner sofa has two sides with 2 button switches. One side stopped working. It would open but not close. We ended up with it opened all the way. We tried changing the switch but that didn't help and it caused the other side to stop working completely. we removed the switch and the other side was working again. We got the replacement switch on Amazon. It has a 5 pin connector and the new switch looked the same and was supposed to work with ashley couches. We haven't done any more troubleshooting. Any ideas?
