Ignition on hob?

When we press the ignition switch and the hob ring ignites the ignition still keeps clicking and doesn't switch off.how do we rectify the problem?

Try turning the electric supply off for a an hour or so, overnight perhaps. This has worked for me.

You start by telling us what the problem is on. One assumes it is a cooker but make? Model?
