scantronic 9449/9427 alarm activating when setting alarm?
Recently replaced the backup battery and now when I set the alarm the alarm activates and when I enter the code to rest the alarm the Z5 & Z6 lights are lit on the alarm panel. Any ideas on what is causing this problem would be much appreciated.
or key in engineering code then 15,the zoens that arwe used will be lit,if your zones 5 n 6 are not used then press the 6 n 7 button,this will cut them out of the circuit so the panel wont see them

If these zones are unused then panel has returned to default settings. (Usually a give away is code has returned to default also) panel will need reprogramming from engineer menu to turn off these zones. You will get away with inserting a wired loop in these zone terminals provided the default programming suits you (unlikely) otherwise reprogrammed it!
