top loading Kenmore washer is leaking alot?

My Kenmore 80 Series Heavy Duty Plus (model number 82380100) washer leaked gallons. It was not an overflow. I took off the back panel and see leaking from under the tub, the hose from the tub is not wet. I cant reach the seal but I can see it and it appears dry. I THINK I should check to see if the hose is blocked, how do I get to where the hose connects to the tub? Or based on my description do you think I should look elsewhere first? thanks
