Matsui digibox wont turn on?

My matsui digibox has turned itself off and wont come back on. hte red light is on and when you try it manually using the button on the box it shows a number 8 briefly then goes off

As you have not had an answer yet this may help. Matsui is a DSG (Dixons/Currys) own brand so you may want to talk them. Having said that, if the box is over a year old it's usually not worth repairing a budget box; as they are so cheap now, you may as well but a new one.
