oil leaking on clothes?

my westinghouse 650 is leave oil splats on my clothes and my wifes which is making her mad. i've looked inside the machine and there are some oil splats on the bottom and side. it leaks into the machine slightly from the spindle. can this be fixed by a do it yourself husband and if so how?
