Mend Panasonic Id Call Instead

my panasonic kx-tg5631c stopped showing call id says incoming call instead?

I have caller ID on my phone and i even plugged in an older phone to make sure that caller ID shows up on it and it does but my cordless only says "incoming call" when the phone rigs and no longer saves the call as "missed call" or "received call" or anything.

It happened to me and in addition to the above advice I also checked the phone base and found that the "screen call" option may have been turned off somehow. When I reset that option, everything was fine again.
