emachine t2898 screen resolution?

Hello, i reinstalled windows xp on a emachine t2898 desktop, and have tried everything to adjust screen resolution but nothing works, windows tried to automatically adjust it and it still does not adjust, it shows a default monitor in device manager, but i am using a emachine monitor now, which i have tried about 5 different monitors and it doesnt work on none of them. HELP PLEASE!!!!!
