there is a high pitch squeal from the alternator area, i thought it was the aux drive belt but after changing belt the noise returned, has any one else had similar problems?
Same problem for me but ford wont check it until i have a new catalytic converter @ £390. So basicly i have just managed to waste £280 for an oil change with filter and back windscreen wiper and the engine light is still on argggh

Hi, I used to have that noise too. Ford have found out that there is a problem with the water pump. The pump in a very few instances has to be changed. In others as with mine, all they do is change the anifreeze, sorts the noise immediately.
