hotpoint Mistral Plus freezer working but fridge not working why?

got a bosch fridge freeze stop working now its cold press the fast freeze button but still no joy tried the fuse in the plug and that we got power to the plug can anyone help?

fan not working in freezer to supply air flow that cools fridge. if fan is working then the air duct is blocked in freezer, turn off for 24 hours then this should cure fault for a while .

Oops, I spoke to soon its broke again, my local engineer rang Hotpoint this morning and they told him the part that will get it working again is £280, so I have decided to ditch it. I am now renting a brand new Bosch fridge freezer for £3.60 a week, with no costs to me whatsoever should it break down, the rental of £3.60 includes all call out charges, labour and parts. Great. I wouldnt touch a Hotpoint appliance ever again. Incidentally the engineer refunded my money. What a nice guy eh.

I had exactly the same problem, freezer on -22degrees(normal) but the fridge has risen to +18degrees(normally i have it on about 3 or 4) so i rang a local engineer this morning, and he replaced the thermostat and its working great now cost me £65 (a lot of money considering the thermostat only costs about £15 but i guess its the call out charge, time, labour etc.
