hi sid i have just encountered the same problem and bought the haynes workshop manual which gives you step by step instructions ,it includes raising the rear of the car for removal of wheel and drum to gain acsess tothe cable, removal of brake shoes required as well, exhaust has to be dropped from its rubber mounts and supported,to allow removal of the heat shield where you will find the two cables which join to a bar with one cable comeing off this bar being called an equaliser bar this bar and cable goes on to the hand brake which has a self adjusting mechanism the hand brake has to be removed first by disconnecting this bar from the cables and remove centre console to gain accsess to the two bolts holding the handbrake lever to the body you then turn the lever upsidedown to remove the cable from its position . quite a bit of work for a couple of cables please make sure you have the verhicle secure on axel stands ,ramps ,etc so that it cant move or it could be fatal . i hope i have helped a bit but a manuall on your verhicle is a good bit of kit to have if you can purchase one , cheers ,
