like above says .. change belt but there should be a movable pully sidways to allow you to slip on belt ,also change the bearings if the blade keeps dragging or ceising .this is fairly simple as all that holds the pan on are clips so it should drop free to allow removal of bearings (4)(two for each blade) ,also sharpen blade while off.

You shouldn`t have to because theres a belt tensioner for the belt ........over a period of time the belt will wear out and strech and the belt will need to be replaced like the one I have
I get in a thick patch and the blades quit turning so fast ...just need to get off my butt and find a new belt
