i believe i need to change my starter, since the alternator and belt tensoner are new. my lights and raido turn on, but the engine will not turn, it makes a click sound and then nothing. First off, i want to know if that is the starter and then if it is, how do i change it?
If it just clicks when you turn the key and all the dash lights stay lit and don't fade off then after doin the other 2 its a good possibility it's your starter! Does the car stay running after a push start tho? well as you look under the bonnet between the slam panel and engine you will see the starter! just behind the exhaust! disconnect the battery first. then on the back of the starter the is 2 wires to disconnect. and generally onlt 3 13mm bolts holding the starter in! it's an easy replace but just annoying trying to get it wiggled out past the exhaust!
