How can I replace the starter rope on my Craftsman lawnmower?

How can I replace the starter rope on my Craftsman Model 917.377690 lawnmower? I removed the cover to reveal the pulley and rewind spring assembly. How much more needs to be removed to access where the new rope goes?

with the old rop removed turn the pully counter clockwise until you feel strong tention then line pully hole up with top then use a pair of vise grips to keep it in place burn the end of the new rope to keep it from unravellig run the rop thru the alignedholes tie a knoton the end of the rope keep the rope tight release vise grips let the rope go in slowly replace top and you are ready to go.
