Mend Craftsman Hp Tecumseh Engine

How do I change the blade adapter on my Craftsman?

It's a 4 HP Tecumseh engine and will not start. My wife was cutting the grass and states that the mower just stopped and would't start.

The blade adapter pins are sheared off and the blade spins freely.

Do I have to remove the flywheel and crankshaft or can I remove the blade adapter from under the mower.

I was going to replace the flywheel key also.

No you might have to use a puller to get it off thou and the flywheel key is proably sheared too
