how can I fix my proline dvd 1200?

Everything is working fine except I cannot get any colour, all the dvds are playing in black and white. Is there something wrong with the scart lead? I have tried everything else.

You need the TV and the player to be sending and receiving the same signal. i.e. RGB to RGB or Composite to Composite (Composite is called lots of things but the setting will be the other one to RGB.)

Second some TVs only have RGB on AV1 (To save cost.) So if you are attached to AV2 etc you have to have the DVD player set to composite.
