Dropping Of Pressure Worcester 240?

Hi
Had one engineer out already, for the last 3 months my Pressure Bar on my Boiler has fallen below 1 bar, it is almost on a daily occurance that I top up the water presure to read 1.5bars. the system seems to loose 1/2 cupful of water every 2days, but for the life of looking cannot see a leak or wet-patch on the system. The enginneer doubts its the expansion valve. Has anybody else experienced this problem or can recommend a solution?

many thanks for your help

Thank you Mr Smithy for that clue spoke to Bolier/Heating engineer again. And funny he also mentioned that it might bee a corroded Diaphragm and if so would set me back £140 :^(

For other readers here are some more syptoms, In a bid to pinpoint any leaks in the system I turned off all my raditors. Afetr doing so the boiler switched itself on and after a while i thought this is not right, so opened up the valve of my smallest raditor and the heating system switched off.

This morning I touched said raditor and it was boiling hot! even thou the heating system hasnt been switched on for 2 weeks! 3 hours later it was stone cold...

will let you know what happens tommorrom and how long i will be eating beans on toast when i fingers crossed get the system fixed.

Cheers
Alex

Could be burst diaphragm on your expansion vessel,or possibly an airlock causing your pressure relief valve to blow(as you put water in daily, this is likely).Try filling the system to around 1 bar with filling loop and bleed each radiator starting at the lowest.Keep topping water level up to 1 bar(as you bleed rads pressure will drop).Remove the filling loop when not in use as if this is letting water flow that would also cause excess pressure which would activate pressure relief valve
