i have an old dell inspiron 8100 laptop and when i turn it on it says password protection . i dont or ever had one it would start right up but now it doesnt please help how can i pass this screen..

Contact Dell and, if you can prove to their satisfaction that you are the computer's original owner, they should be able to give you a password that will unlock it.
You will have to phone them,email wont do it.
