HD tv rca hd26w854t wont turn on?

i have tried everything i can think of to get it to work, but the problem is this, i plug the tv in, press the power button and the tv has a light that indacates that the tv is on, it blinks a few times and then right before the tv turns on the light turns off and the screen wont come on what should i do?
