Mend Ariston A1636 Machine

Clicking instead of spinning Ariston A1636?

Hi,

My Ariston A1636 washing machine has stopped spinning, my partner has cleared out all the filters (we think) then it got a problem of constantly filling, which we've now sorted, however it still won't spin, and all we can hear is a clicking noise where its trying to spin. It will turn ever so slightly then nothing! :(

I had a similar problem with my machine of the same model.
When I removed the back panel near the bottom, I undid the waste pipe where it comes from the drum, there is a filter thing there which if full can stop the machine from spinning. On mine, it wasn't draining the waste water and fresh water was spilling out of the soap drawer flooding my kitchen.
