My washing machine keeps showing 5E on the panel and won't empty the water out of the drum. I need to know how I can empty it to check if something is blocking the pipe without having to call the plumber.

We have the same problem. We emptied the water by simply moving the pipe lower than the drain plug on our machine. Unfortunately we have to do this every time we wash. If the pipe is blocked then there is a small black lid which is located at the bottom near where the hose comes out of the machine.
